Crystal Cavern is the first dedicated endgame fishing zone added to Scale Slimy Fish, introduced in the June 2026 update alongside the More Fish! species expansion. The zone sits behind a level-gated entrance and hosts crystal-tier fish with sell values well above anything in the three starter areas. For players who have exhausted Everturn Forest, Forsaken Shores Pond, and the starter beach, Crystal Cavern represents the next major income tier — but only after meeting specific unlock requirements and equipping adequate gear.
Crystal Cavern Unlock Requirements
The zone does not open automatically at level 20. You need both progression level and collection breadth:
- Reach level 20 — continue the catch-scale-sell loop and earn XP from every fish processed
- Catch one fish from Everturn Forest — the forest starter zone on the map
- Catch one fish from Forsaken Shores Pond — the pond starter zone
- Catch one fish from the starter beach — the default spawn fishing area

Weather fish from Thunder and Meteor events can be caught in any zone, but the combination of cavern rare spawns plus server luck buffs creates the optimal farming window for level 20+ accounts.
